Week April 30 to May 4, 2007
This week in the tech lab you will find students working on National Education Technology Standards 3.0 and 4.0.
Mrs. Hansen’s homeroom and switch classes will be investigating temperature change in the Tahoe City area. The students will use the Internet to locate the data from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. Working in groups, they will then enter the data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and create graphs showing the temperature change over the last 100 years!
Mrs. Leatherman’s homeroom and switch classes will be using Comic Life to create a comic strip showing the sequence of events for their assigned Greek myth. What fun!
Mrs. Schaffnit’s homeroom and switch classes will be podcasting! They will be working in pairs, using GarageBand to create podcasts about Darwin and other science topics in Chapters 8 and 9 of their science books.
