Technology Lab Opens Door
The ACMS Technology Lab Opens it’s door for the 2007-2008 school year this week!
Students in Mr. Hilton’s 6th grade students will be using the USGS website to research earthquakes all over the world. They will compile their findings in an Excel workbook. Rock and Roll!
Mrs. Kehoe’s 7th grade students are going to start learning how to write a five paragraph research paper! Wow! They will research ancient Roman topics using three different search engines. The final project will be written in the Microsoft Word application program. The project will have a cover page, five paragraph paper telling why the topic was important then and now, and a bibliography.
Mrs. McMullen’s 8th grade students are learning about immigration to the United States. The students will be using a Library of Congress website to learn about the various groups. Each student will create a stamp of their immigration group from their research. The stamp will be saved as a jpeg picture then placed in a PowerPoint slide show for them to use to present to the class.
